What This Means for YTSS Participants
Through this new partnership, YTSS participants can access rebate-supported energy upgrades without having to navigate complex applications or supplier searches on their own.
If you or your family own your home, you may be eligible to upgrade to an energy-efficient hot water system or air conditioner, helping reduce both costs and environmental impact. The YTSS team can help coordinate your referral, making the process simple from start to finish.
Who Can Apply
You may be eligible for the Victorian hot water rebate if:
- You own and live in the property where the system will be installed
- The combined taxable income of all owners is under $210,000 per year
- The property is valued under $3 million
- The property hasn’t already received a hot water or solar battery rebate
- The existing system is at least three years old
If you’ve moved house since receiving a Solar Homes rebate, you can apply again at your new address (provided that property hasn’t already received these rebates). Renters may also be able to access upgrades by asking their landlord to apply on their behalf.
